Dear Janet
The robin in my garden is still singing for his supper. My last conversation with you was about his song so whenever I hear him I am reminded of your warmth and kindness and how much you meant to Ray, Caroline, Andrew and their families and your wide circle of friends. Rest now

Dear Janet
A much loved friend I’ve had the joy of knowing since I was a young girl of 17, fresh out of school and you took me under your wing for my first job at the Prudential in Reading. Fast forward two more years and you were busy making my bridesmaids dresses for my wedding to Roger. There followed many more years when our combined families would spend happy weekends together visiting theme parks, zoos, the coast, spending time at each others houses. Of course not forgetting those infamous new year parties, such a lot of fun with all the children upstairs amusing themselves we know not how but venturing down to partake of your usual excellent hospitality. So many happy memories that we will treasure forever. Janet you are so loved and will be sadly missed. With much love from Pauline, Roger, Matthew & Joanne xxxx

I remember Janet as a force of nature. Her love of life and determination to live it to the full always inspired me. She took such an interest in me and I looked forward to Ray and Janet visiting Caithness, bringing a taste of the wider world to our sleepy, rural life. She radiated warmth, compassion and kindness.
